Cave diving in Czechia
Czech cave diving is best known for Hranice Abyss, the deepest known flooded abyss in the world, explored by the Czech Speleological Society's group ZO 7-02 Hranický kras with deep rebreather dives to 265 m and robotic surveys beyond 450 m.
How access works
Karst features such as Hranice Abyss lie in protected areas managed by the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic. Research and diving there are carried out by Czech Speleological Society groups under exemptions from Act No. 114/1992 Coll. on nature and landscape protection; no public diving access is published for the abyss.
