Cave diving in Egypt
Egypt has no documented freshwater cave diving in this dataset; its overhead diving entry is the Blue Hole near Dahab in South Sinai, a reef sinkhole whose deep tunnel, the Arch, is treated as a technical dive.
How access works
The Blue Hole lies in the Abu Galum Protected Area. Diving is arranged through dive centres in Dahab, and a 2026 government plan under study proposes regulating marine activities and limiting visitor numbers. No official rule text for the Arch was found.
