Grotduiken in Finland
Finland has few natural diveable caves, and its overhead diving centres on flooded mines, above all the former Ojamo limestone mine in Lohja, one of the country's busiest dive sites with about 2,000 dives a year. Finnish technical divers are also prominent in cave exploration abroad, notably in Norway's Plura system.
Hoe toegang werkt
Flooded mines are private or municipal property and are not open to the public. At Ojamo the City of Lohja grants operating rights (since 2024 to a divers' association and two professional training providers), and outsiders may not enter the area.
