Cave diving in Malaysia

0 cave systems1 entrances and sites1 providers

Malaysia's best-known overhead dive is Turtle Cavern, a marine cavern in the wall of Sipadan Island off Sabah, named for the turtle skeletons found inside. It is a sea cavern within a coral-reef marine park rather than a freshwater cave system.

How access works

Sipadan is a Sabah Parks marine park: every diver needs a park permit, booked by a registered operator through Sabah Parks, and conservation and diving fees apply. Sabah Parks pages consulted did not publish a separate rule or qualification for the cavern; operators say full entry needs proper training.

A general summary; each site page gives its own dated access information.
