Training agency

Unified Team Diving

International 2 cave courses UTD, UTD Scuba Diving, UTD Scuba Diving, LLC

A recreational, technical and cave training agency whose cave track runs from a non-certifying Overhead Protocols class through Cave 1, Cave 2, Cave Stage, Cave 3, CCR Cave and Cave Gold.

Official website ↗

UTD Scuba Diving, LLC trades as Unified Team Diving and offers recreational, technical, cave and rebreather training [1]. Its own explainer sets out a cave track that begins only after its Essentials of Tech course [2].

UTD's first overhead class, Overhead Protocols (OHP), is described as comparable to an intro to cave course but is not a cave certification. Cave 1 is restricted to the main line and simple navigation and, unusually, expires 24 months after issue; UTD says it is the only UTD scuba certification with an expiry date. Cave 2 is UTD's full cave level within no-decompression limits; Cave Stage, Cave 3 (decompression), CCR Cave and Cave Gold follow [2]. UTD covers caves and mines in one curriculum rather than issuing separate mine cards [2].
