Upstream: advanced sidemount only; downstream: cavern and cave training by NSS-CDS instructors permitted: NSS-CDS property rules [1] (Both sections require membership, full cave certification with Abe Davis Award or equivalent, insurance and a waiver.). These categories are the named scheme's own; they describe the training a site calls for.

The NSS-CDS-owned spring entrance to the Cow Springs cave; members only, with full cave certification, Abe Davis Award or equivalent, insurance and a same-day waiver.

Cow Springs is a members-only cave site owned by the NSS Cave Diving Section. The section's property management plan sets separate rules for the upstream and downstream directions of the cave and bans scooters.

The section's own Cow Springs page, which holds access details, is available only to logged-in members. Divers who are not NSS-CDS members cannot dive here.
