Obab Cave
A water-bearing cave on private land at the southern edge of Etosha National Park, first dived in June 2024 when divers pushed about 80 m before narrow passages stopped them.
Obab Cave has been known locally for more than a century, but it was first dived only in June 2024, by two members of a visiting German cave-diving team supported by Namibian divers. They advanced about 80 m into shallow flooded passages before narrow sections stopped them.
The cave's full size is unknown. It is on private land and is not a visitor site.
البيئة
Shallow flooded passages, described as about 5 m deep, that become narrow (a restriction is a passage too tight to pass easily).
