Resurgence
Pearse Resurgence
The pool where the Pearse River emerges from the Mount Arthur karst; the only diveable entrance to a 6 °C cave explored by expedition teams to 245 m.
The resurgence pool is the starting point for the deep Pearse expeditions. All of the published exploration has been by small expedition teams using rebreathers, scooters and long decompression, and the leader of those expeditions describes the cave as continuing beyond the deepest points reached.
No dive operator, permit system or public access procedure for diving here was found in this pass.
The environment
Cold (about 6 °C) fresh water emerging from a deep cave with two explored deep branches.
