Source Bleue de Cusance
The main spring of the Cusancin stream in the Val de Cusance, a popular walking spot with a 9 m deep pool and a first sump of about 110 m reaching 12 m depth.
The Source Bleue is the main source of the Cusancin, which runs the length of the Val de Cusance. A signed path of about 10 minutes leads to it from the car park near the restaurants in Cusance. Despite its name, the FFS fiche's authors report having seen mostly shades of green in more than twenty visits.
The entrance pool is 9 m deep. A low bedding-plane passage leads into a fissure gallery that runs for about 110 m, after which dry passage has been explored for several hundred metres. Jochen Hasenmayer passed the first sump in 1969, and later divers stopped at narrow points in several further sumps.
