The resurgence pool of Saint-Sauveur near Calès, reached by a farm track. Since a 2006 decision of the Lot département, diving has been restricted to the pool itself.

The pool is reached from Rocamadour by the D32 and D39 and then a farm track of about 1 km; the FFS fiche notes a no-diving sign facing the pool and describes the spot as popular with walkers. A fissure at about 15 m in the middle of the basin leads to the restriction at 24 m and the deep gallery beyond.

The Conseil général du Lot restricted diving to the pool in June 2006 after rockfall at the restriction. Before that, a 2005 note on the FFS fiche asked divers to report each dive to the emergency services, leave only one vehicle per group at the end of the track, keep the gate closed, avoid running compressors and come back later if the site was already busy.

The environment

A large, clear resurgence pool with a sand and cobble floor; beyond the restriction the cave becomes very deep very quickly.

Facilities

Parking among trees at the end of the track; no facilities described.
