An area overview of the Cairns day-boat scene rather than a single business. Fast catamarans leave the Reef Fleet Terminal each morning for moored outer-reef sites such as Flynn, Milln, Thetford and Hastings, carrying mixes of certified divers, students and snorkelers under Great Barrier Reef Marine Park rules. Introductory diving is heavily marketed and tightly supervised; certified divers get guided or independent buddy diving depending on the boat.

Prices: Day trips price per person with dive add-ons and a marine park levy; liveaboards reach better reefs for those with more time. Boats differ meaningfully in diver-to-snorkeler ratio — check the format before booking.
