Level 4 - Expert

Level 4 - Expert: CREER cenote level (guided cavern diving) [1] [2] (Dark, experienced divers only, maximum 3 divers per guide (CREER).). These categories are the named scheme's own; they describe the training a site calls for.

An entrance to Sistema Sac Actun, rated Level 4 (Expert) by CREER for guided cavern diving; CREER reported in February 2024 that cave diving was not permitted until further notice.

Dreamgate was connected to Sistema Sac Actun in 2009, according to QRSS. CREER rates it Level 4 (Expert), the most demanding of its regular cavern-tour categories, describing such sites as dark and suitable only for experienced divers, with no more than three divers per guide. Operators run separate upstream and downstream cavern dives here.

On 27 February 2024 CREER recorded that cave diving at Dreamgate was not permitted until further notice, while cavern diving remained open. In April 2024 CREER reminded instructors and guides to follow landowners' rules after an incident in which a local cave instructor ignored the owner's rules at Dreamgate.
