Cave: CDAA site rating [2] (Directory lists the site as Cave and Advanced Cave without mapping the zones on the page consulted.). Advanced Cave: CDAA site rating [2]. These categories are the named scheme's own; they describe the training a site calls for.

The only entrance to Cocklebiddy Cave: a long dry entrance chamber ending at a 180 m lake where the first of three long sumps begins. Dived by written application to the WA parks authority.

The entrance leads into a chamber more than 300 m long that ends in a lake about 180 m long. The first sump starts from this lake and runs about 1 km to the Rockfall Chamber; everything beyond requires carrying equipment over rock piles between long sumps.

The CDAA rates the cave Cave and Advanced Cave. Trips are planned weeks ahead because divers must apply in writing to the state parks office with an application and indemnity form.

The environment

Dry entrance chamber and lake, then long, straight flooded tunnel; the water is too salty to drink.
