A small blue spring pool about 9 m across, a short walk from Covanera in the Rudrón valley, that is the entrance to the long Pozo Azul sump system.
Showcaves describes the spring as about 9 m in diameter and reached by a 300 m walk up a side valley from a small car park in Covanera; when that fills, larger car parks across the river add about 400 m of walking. It is not signposted.
Divers going into the cave follow the first sump, about 700 m long and around 21 m deep, before reaching air-filled passage.
The environment
A clear spring pool leading into a flooded gallery; cold water.
Facilities
