Dumaguete, Dauin & Apo Island
The Dauin coast, just south of the university city of Dumaguete on Negros, pairs two very different pleasures: world-class muck diving on volcanic black sand, and Apo Island, one of the earliest and most celebrated community-managed marine sanctuaries in the Philippines. It is quiet, inexpensive, and adult in tone, a diver's destination rather than a resort scene.
