Hannibal Bank

Hannibal Bank is the deep card in Coiba's deck, a seamount rising from serious depths to a plateau that concentrates whatever the Gulf of Chiriqui is moving that week. Upwelling season stacks the odds: whale sharks cruise the bank from roughly December to April, mobulas pass in formation, and schools of scalloped hammerheads work the thermocline below the divers - sometimes rising, often not, and honesty requires saying the bank withholds as readily as it delivers. Amberjack, big cubera snapper, and wahoo bring constant motion regardless. It is a blue-water drift over structure you rarely see, best treated as a hunt rather than a guarantee.
