Level 2 - Intermediate (from Little Brother), Training drills permitted on listed lines

Level 2 - Intermediate (from Little Brother): CREER cenote level (guided cavern diving) [1] [2] (CREER describes Level 2 as shallow but with smaller passages, limited natural light and a halocline.). Training drills permitted on listed lines: CREER approved cave training site [3] (Chac Mool cavern line, downstream and upstream cave lines.). These categories are the named scheme's own; they describe the training a site calls for.

A cenote near Puerto Aventuras giving access to Sistema Chac-Mol, dived from the Little Brother entrance and rated Level 2 (Intermediate) by CREER; cameras are not allowed.

Chac Mool is one of the two operated entrances to Sistema Chac-Mol (the other is Kukulkan). CREER lists the guided cavern dive as 'Chac Mool from Little Brother' and rates it Level 2 (Intermediate): shallow, but with smaller passages, less daylight and a halocline. Pro Dive International describes a cavern route reaching about 12 m with a halocline, and longer passages for cave divers.

The Chac Mool cavern line, and the downstream and upstream cave lines, are on CREER's list of approved training sites for lost-line and zero-visibility drills. CREER reported that the owners do not permit cameras and that the entrance fee rose to 300 pesos on 1 June 2025.

The environment
