Taveuni and Rainbow Reef sit on the Somosomo Strait, where tidal exchange feeds the soft-coral walls and the Great White Wall; operators time dives to the current windows. Beqa Lagoon and Pacific Harbour, off southern Viti Levu, pair the staged bull-shark encounters with lagoon reefs and wrecks. Comment s'y rendre: Nadi (NAN) receives long-haul flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney, Auckland, and Asia. Taveuni is a domestic hop (TVU); Pacific Harbour is a two-to-three-hour road transfer from Nadi or a shorter run from Suva. Boat transfers to island resorts round out the chain.
