MUSAN — Museum of Underwater Sculpture

MUSAN, opened off Ayia Napa in 2021, is sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor's underwater forest: concrete trees and human figures — children playing hide-and-seek among trunks, a ranger with a camera — arranged as a walk from shore into the sea's imagination. The pH-neutral sculptures were designed as substrate, and the colonization is the exhibit's second act: algal fuzz softening faces, damselfish nesting in branches, octopus testing the crevices. At ten meters on sand it suits every certification level and photographs like nothing else on the island. Buy the entry through a licensed center; the site is actively managed.
