MUSAN, opened off Ayia Napa in 2021, is sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor's underwater forest: concrete trees and human figures — children playing hide-and-seek among trunks, a ranger with a camera — arranged as a walk from shore into the sea's imagination. The pH-neutral sculptures were designed as substrate, and the colonization is the exhibit's second act: algal fuzz softening faces, damselfish nesting in branches, octopus testing the crevices.
