The Elbow is Turneffe's exclamation point — the place where the atoll narrows to a spur and the ocean's traffic gets compressed. Ride the current off the point and the water fills with motion: snapper schools balled so tight they cast shadows, horse-eye jacks turning like weather, and spotted eagle rays passing in loose squadrons that are the site's calling card. Reef sharks patrol the down-current edge. It is a blue-water-feeling dive over real structure, best saved for divers happy hanging mid-column while the bottom slides past. Boats live-follow the group; nobody anchors here.
