Watamula

Watamula is where Curaçao ends, a rounded point of reef at the island's northern nose where the current does the driving. What it sweeps you across is remarkable: an unbroken quilt of hard corals, soft corals, and anemones with barely a patch of bare sand, widely considered the healthiest coral acreage on the island. Fish life rides the same conveyor, with jacks and barracuda hunting the edges and turtles surfacing unhurried from the gullies. Conditions decide everything here; on the right morning it is Curaçao's best dive, and on the wrong one the boats simply turn around.
