Lighthouse Reef
Every dive town has its default site; Dahab's happens to be genuinely good. Lighthouse curves around the corner of Masbat Bay in a sheltered slope that starts at wading depth, which makes it the town's classroom by day - and by night, one of the better easy night dives in the Red Sea. Darkness brings out Spanish dancers, hunting lionfish herding silversides against the reef, octopus flowing between coral heads, and enough small strangeness in the seagrass to fill a logbook page. By daylight the upper slope is busy with trainees, but a quiet deeper line along the reef rewards those who drift past the activity. Its convenience is the trap and the gift: many divers log more hours here than anywhere else in Sinai.
El momento por el que vienes: Night dives with Spanish dancers and hunting lionfish; effortless entries; year-round reliability.
Topografía: Gentle coral slope and seagrass patches curving around a sheltered corner
Entrada: Step-in entry at the northern corner of Masbat Bay, directly in front of the dive centers.
Lo que debes saber antes de tirarte al agua
Riesgos: Trainee traffic in the shallows; boat and taxi-boat lanes at the surface.
