Off the fishing village at Dominica's southern tip, a chain of volcanic pinnacles rises from the caldera rim to within a few meters of the surface. The signature moment is a swim-through at about ten meters that funnels divers into a bowl packed solid with blackbar soldierfish and grunts, a wall of copper and yellow that parts around your bubbles and closes again behind you. Beyond it, the ridge steps down past barrel sponges and sea whips, with barracuda and jacks working the current line where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean around the headland.
