Babylon

Babylon is the dive Cayman regulars whisper about while tourists queue for the West Wall. A buttress leans away from the North Wall like a cathedral flying free of its nave, and the channel behind it funnels you past black coral thickets, wire corals corkscrewing into the dark, and sponges in colors that only exist below twenty meters. Off the face, the blue does its big-ocean trick: eagle rays, reef sharks, sometimes nothing but the vertigo of a 2,000 m trench under your fins. Distance keeps the crowds away; conditions decide the schedule.

Tam da bunun için geldiğiniz an: The freestanding pinnacle, hanging black-coral gardens, true oceanic wall over the Cayman Trench.

Topografya: A hanging garden on the North Wall: a pinnacle splits from the face, wrapped in black coral and rope sponges, over a sheer drop.

Akıntı: Oceanic water; gentle most days with occasional along-wall set.

Giriş: A long run along the North Wall, usually offered by East End and North Side operators when seas cooperate.

Tehlikeler: Depth over a bottomless face and boat-distance from help; conservative profiles and good surface cover.

Koruma: Remote North Wall site in marine-park waters; its condition reflects light traffic. Help keep it that way.

Nitrox: Burada değer: profiller, nitrox'un no-stop süresini anlamlı ölçüde uzattığı (ve bunu kullanacak eğitimle birlikte) aralıkta yer alıyor.
