They call her the Titanic of the Caribbean without much exaggeration: a 180-meter Italian cruise liner that caught fire at anchor in 1961, burned for days, and sank under tow off Grand Anse. Six decades of seawater have collapsed portions of her superstructure, but the scale still stuns, and the swimming pool on the tilting deck remains one of diving's stranger sights. This is a serious dive, with the deck around thirty-five meters, frequent current, and short bottom times, patrolled by eagle rays, barracuda, and reef sharks that suit her gravity. The fire's human cost is part of her story; dive her with that respect.
