Pipin distills the Jardines experience to its essential transaction: descend, kneel by a coral head, and let the archipelago's Caribbean reef sharks come to review you. They arrive within minutes (sleek, unhurried, sometimes a dozen in view), circling close enough that photographers stop zooming and start leaning back. Between passes the reef asserts itself: groupers of unreasonable size, snapper walls, gorgonians combing the mild current.
