Nishibama
Nishibama is the Kerama formula at its cleanest: blinding white sand sloping away from Aka Island's most famous beach, coral heads spaced like furniture, and water so transparent the boat's shadow is part of the scenery. Green and hawksbill turtles graze and doze in fearless numbers, garden eels stipple the sand at the edge of approach range, sea kraits ripple across the bottom on hunting rounds, and anthias smoke over every coral head. Nothing about the dive is difficult, which is the point; it is the Kerama blue doing the heavy lifting while divers simply hang in it.
Topografía: White sand slope and channels with coral heads off a celebrated beach
Corriente: Channels between the islands can run with tide; guides route around the flow.
Entrada: Reached by Kerama day boats from Naha or short hops from Aka and Zamami islands.
Riesgos: Tidal flow in the channels and summer boat traffic over the sand flats.
Conservación: Inside Kerama Shoto National Park: mooring rules apply and turtles set the approach distance, not divers.
