Green Bay

Green Bay is where southeast Cyprus learns to dive, and it wears the job well. The shallow rock fingers shelter bream, damselfish and octopus; a modest group of statues placed on the sand gives students a navigation target with a smile; and the seagrass margins draw occasional green turtles grazing in from the open coast. Lionfish — handsome, invasive and increasingly numerous — hover under the ledges and give guides their standard ecology talk. It is not a destination dive, but as a confined-water classroom that still delivers real Mediterranean life, it earns its constant crowds.

Giriş: Gentle beach-and-rock entry in Protaras with easy conditions most of the year; busiest bay in southeast Cyprus for courses.

Tehlikeler: Little beyond summer swimmer traffic and sun.

Koruma: Seagrass is nursery habitat — fins up over the meadows, and no pursuing the turtles that visit them.
