Aliwal's baited dives are choreographed open-water encounters: a sealed bait drum goes over the side, the boat drifts, and oceanic blacktip sharks, often dozens, spiral around the scent cone while divers hold a loose midwater line. In the warm months, tiger sharks join with their unmistakable slow authority, and the drift becomes one of the world's premier tiger encounters outside the Bahamas.
