Hermes

The Hermes is Bermuda's gift to wreck photographers: a fifty-meter coastal freighter, abandoned in port and scuttled by the local dive community in 1984, standing perfectly upright and intact on sand in twenty-four meters. Mast, wheelhouse, holds, and ladders are all where a shipwright would want them, and the visibility that Bermuda's south shore delivers in summer lets you take in the entire vessel from midwater like a model on a table. Trained divers thread the open interior; everyone else orbits the rails among barracuda and snapper before ascending the mast.
