Sharks Cove
La profondeur correspond à la plage allant du sommet du site jusqu'à son maximum habituel ; le « niveau recommandé » est le niveau demandé en général par les opérateurs auprès des grandes agences, pas une règle légale. Les courants et la visibilité varient chaque jour, traitez donc tout cela comme des plages indicatives de planification.
For half the year Sharks Cove belongs to the surf reports; in summer the same water lies down flat and reveals Oʻahu's best shore dive. The cove's lava plumbing (tubes, skylighted caverns, canyons a diver can wander like alleys) holds turtles, schools of goatfish and tang, octopus, and the odd whitetip despite the name's overselling. Protection since 1983 shows in fish that barely yield right of way. Depths stay modest and the caverns keep daylight in sight, but surge judgment still matters on marginal days. Come October, the ocean repossesses the whole property without notice.

Entrée: Rocky beach entry at Pūpūkea on the North Shore; strictly a May–September site: winter surf makes it lethal.

Dangers: Winter surf closes the site absolutely; even summer south of a north swell brings surge in the tubes; slick rock entries.
Conservation: Pūpūkea MLCD rules apply: no take of anything, and stay off the shallow reef shelf where waders trample.
