Shark Hotel

Off Providenciales's Northwest Point, Shark Hotel books its guests reliably. Gray reef silhouettes, Caribbean reef sharks mostly, patrol the break in the wall where a sandy shelf interrupts the drop, and divers hanging quietly at the edge watch them commute below and occasionally rise for a closer look. No bait is involved; the sharks simply favor this bend of the wall. Between visits there is proper Provo wall scenery to work through: barrel sponges, wire coral, and turtle traffic along the lip, with eagle rays crossing in the blue on the better days.
