Nemesis III

Nemesis III spent her working life as a fishing trawler before Cyprus's artificial-reef program cleaned and sank her off Protaras in late 2013. She is the smaller, shallower partner to the Liberty, which makes her the friendlier classroom: an upright hull with wheelhouse, winches and trawl gantry all recognizable, open spaces prepared for supervised swim-throughs, and enough resident life — schooling bream, an occasional grouper taking ownership, lionfish tucked under the stern — to reward a slow second lap. The extra minutes of no-stop time at her depth let photographers work the wheelhouse light without watching the computer every breath.
