Jessie Beazley Reef

A solitary reef about 20 km north of the atolls, Jessie Beazley is the park in miniature: a crown of blinding white sand breaking the surface, ringed by coral slopes that tighten into walls. The isolation gives it the clearest water many trips see, often past 30 m, and a compact circuit that a single dive can nearly lap. Whitetips rest under table corals, grey reef sharks ride the up-current face, and pelagic wildcards, from devil rays to the odd whale shark, drift past on their own schedule. Liveaboards often stop here on the crossing home.
