Nelivaru Thila

Nelivaru is Baa's gentler manta station — shallower and calmer than Dhonfanu, which makes it the thila of choice for newer divers hoping for their first big encounter. Mantas track slow ovals over the mound in season, dropping onto the cleaning blocks in rotation, and because the reef tops out well within Open Water limits, whole dives pass at ten meters with the animals overhead. Off-season it settles into an easy reef circuit: anemone patches, lionfish under the ledges, turtles working the coral. A forgiving site that occasionally delivers a world-class one.
