The Agincourt complex is the southern tail of the ribbon system, close enough to Port Douglas for morning departures yet perched right on the shelf edge where the water runs clean. Operators spread across dozens of moorings: one drops onto bommie fields grazed by Maori wrasse, another onto mini-walls where reef sharks patrol the blue edge, another onto shallow gardens ideal for first-timers off the pontoon boats. Conditions decide the day's picks, which keeps repeat visits fresh. It is the easiest way to sample ribbon-quality water without committing to a liveaboard bunk.
