Angel's Window

Angel's Window is the reminder that Lembeh has coral too. A pinnacle in the strait's clearer northern reaches, it is pierced by a tunnel whose frame of fans and soft corals gives the site its name and its classic photograph. Sea fans on the deeper faces host Bargibanti pygmy seahorses, ribbon eels flare from holes in the rubble, and clouds of anthias and cardinalfish soften the edges. Guides often run it as a two-act dive, working the window and fans first, then grazing the base for nudibranchs and shrimp. For strait veterans sated on sand, it resets the eyes; for new arrivals it flatly contradicts the idea that Lembeh is only muck.
