Depth is the range from the top of the site to its usual maximum; "recommended cert" is the mainstream-agency level operators usually ask for, not a legal rule. Currents and visibility change daily — treat everything here as planning ranges.

Pescador is a limestone button of an island whose walls drop steeply on every side, so a single dive can round much of it when the current cooperates. The signature feature is a funnel-shaped cavern often called the Cathedral, where afternoon light falls in shafts through openings in the rock, silhouetting sweepers and the divers ahead of you. Outside, the walls carry gorgonians, whip corals, and enough crevice life for a full macro dive, while whitetip reef sharks, turtles, and hunting trevally patrol off the structure. Sardines schooled here famously before relocating toward Panagsama; the island never needed them to earn its keep.

The moment you come for: The Cathedral light funnel, wraparound wall diving, sharks and turtles off the ledges

Topography: Limestone walls with caverns and coral terraces

Current: Current wraps the islet unpredictably; most dives become gentle drifts around its flanks.

Entry: Ten to twenty minutes by banca from Panagsama; boats circle to the lee side in wind.

Know before you splash

Hazards: Current exchanges around the island; overhead sections in the cavern for those who enter.

Conservation: A protected islet with mooring rules; no anchoring on the reef.

Nitrox: Worth it here — profiles sit in the range where enriched air meaningfully extends no-stop time (with the training to use it).
