Tongo Point

Tongo, at the southern end of Moalboal's dive strip, is a sanctuary wall cut with crevices and chimneys that give it more texture than its neighbors. Soft corals and sea fans crowd the fissures, making it the local guides' pick for macro on the wall: orangutan crabs in bubble coral, assorted nudibranchs, and the occasional ornate ghost pipefish hovering by a crinoid. Turtles rest on ledges, banded sea kraits thread the shallows, and the reef top at 3-5 m finishes dives in bright, fishy comfort. A quiet, dependable site that often has no other group on it.
