Seven Mile is where Sodwana's terrain turns theatrical: mushroom-shaped rock formations, mini-pinnacles, and undercut ledges hung with green tree coral, all in water that usually runs a shade clearer than the reefs to the south. The extra distance from the launch pays off in traffic — both boat and fish. Eagle rays and turtles are near-standard, big morays occupy the overhangs, kingfish and barracuda patrol the edges, and the drop-off side gives the park's best chance of something unannounced arriving from the blue. Many Sodwana regulars simply call it the best reef in the bay.
